Fyne Audio loudspeakers

We have recently decided to add GoldenEar Loudspeakers to our portfolio, from their Triton Series Towers. GoldenEar have been manufacturing loudspeakers since 2010 but the co-founder, Sandy Gross, is an industry legend.

After a detailed listening session to various models from this renowned UK manufacturer, we have recently taken delivery of several Fyne Audio loudspeakers, focussing on the SP, or ,Special Production, models as we feel these offer exceptional performance and value for money. We currently have the 501SP, 502SP and 702SP models which and are being fully run in.

Fyne Audio specialise in dual concentric designed loudspeakers, where the tweeter is in the middle of the mid-woofer. These designs ensure close time-alignment of the mid and high frequencies, where the ear is most sensitive.

In our initial listening tests, we found Fyne to have a very dimensional character, which is a characteristic we place a major emphasis on. Their tone is extremely natural, particularly at the higher frequencies which makes the overall balance amongst the least “hifi” sounding loudspeaker brands we know. Their cabinets are beautiful, made to highest quality in the industry. The crossover design is no afterthought, being very sophisticated. Indeed, the SP range utilises components normally found in the range above each model, maximising value.
